Single Stage Touch Up Kit With Hardener For 2018 - 2019 Jeep Compass Single Stage Touch Up Instructions When your order arrives, shake paint bottle for 15 seconds, open and compare color on the bottom of the cap to the vehicle color. If color is different, contact us via Ebay messaging. Clean the area with soap and water (Picture - 1). Use sanding pad and 600 sand paper to remove sharp edges from the scratch/chip. If metal is exposed, remove all rust spots (if metal is exposed, primer is recommended but not required), (Picture - 2,3). Clean scratch/chip with Wax & Grease remover (Picture - 4).Mix hardener with paint, shake paint bottle for 15 seconds. Use the brush to fill scratch/chip (Picture - 5). If applying more than one coat, wait for 15 min between the coats. Once hardener is added, paint must be used within 6 hours. Wait 24 - 48 hours for paint to cure completely (vehicle can be driven). Use sanding block with 1500 sand paper to remove excess paint (Picture - 6). Use sanding block with 2000 sand paper to level new and existing paint (Picture - 7).
