Color Match Touch Up Spray Can Paint For 1998 - 2006 Nissan Altima Brush Touch Up Spray Can Paint Please order based on color code only. Color names change between models or years of manufacturing. What is the difference between 1K and 2K Clear Coat? 2K (Urethane) clear coat is similar to factory clear. It has hardener (mixed by pressing on the mixing valve at the bottom of the can). Hardener increases gloss and resistance to UV, scratching and chipping. After hardener is mixed with clear coat, it must be sprayed within 6 hours. 1K (Acrylic) clear coat is a single component clear. It has no time restrictions, but has less gloss and less resistance to UV, scratching and chipping. If using around a gas tank, acrylic clear coat is not recommended. Recommendations: 1. Always test spray base coat before application. If color does not match, contact us via Ebay messaging system. 2. Primer, Base Coat and Clear Coat flow will change depending on the temperature. Lower temperatures will reduce drying speed, which may cause "runs". Before applying to the vehicle, test spray using spraying card (included in every order) to determine drying speed. If color is different, contact us via Ebay messaging. Clean the area with soap and water (Picture - 1). Use sanding pad and 600 sand paper to remove sharp edges from the scratch/chip. If metal is exposed, remove all rust spots (if metal is exposed, primer is recommended but not required), (Picture - 2,3). Clean scratch/chip with Wax & Grease remover (Picture - 4).Mix hardener with paint, shake paint bottle for 15 seconds. Use the brush to fill scratch/chip (Picture - 5). If applying more than one coat, wait for 15 min between the coats. Once hardener is added, paint must be used within 6 hours. Wait 24 - 48 hours for paint to cure completely (vehicle can be driven). Use sanding block with 1500 sand paper to remove excess paint (Picture - 6). Use sanding block with 2000 sand paper to level new and existing paint (Picture - 7). Use polishing paste to remove fine scratches and blend the color using circular motion (Picture - 8)--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Why use touch up with Hardener? Factory paint has hardener to increase gloss and resistance to UV damage, scratching and chipping. Touch up paint with hardener will better match color, gloss and durability of factory paint.
