Color names change between models or years of manufacturing. What is the difference between 1K and 2K Clear Coat? 2K (Urethane) clear coat is similar to factory clear. It has hardener (mixed by pressing on the mixing valve at the bottom of the can). Hardener increases gloss and resistance to UV, scratching and chipping. After hardener is mixed with clear coat, it must be sprayed within 6 hours. 1K (Acrylic) clear coat is a single component clear. It has no time restrictions, but has less gloss and less resistance to UV, scratching and chipping. If using around a gas tank, acrylic clear coat is not recommended. Recommendations: 1. Always test spray base coat before application. If color does not match, contact us via Ebay messaging system. 2. Primer, Base Coat and Clear Coat flow will change depending on the temperature.
