Use a tester, a piece of cardboard or something similar lying around. Paint fades over time, if your car color is fading you'll need to use blending techniques to match the fresh paint to the older paint. Clearcoat is highly recommended for all touch up jobs, you will not be able to get a 100% color match without it.
